Speaking of high-speed wireless, TheBeam -- you know, that division of CS Wireless, a company that CAWS claims in its Chapter 11 notice has negligible value -- has a three-quarter-page ad in the September Dallas/Fort Worth Current Technology (www.CurrentTech.com).

The ad describes how TheBeam is wired into a new upscale apartment complex, AMLI on the Parkway (972/818-9090), for "High Speed Wireless Internet." The magazine also features a brief article which says, "The Beam, which is a subsidiary of CS Wireless, is holding the wireless world captivated."

Even though the article was probably written in part as a payoff for the ad, it is nevertheless presented as editorial copy. I wish somebody would bring this information before Judge Farnan on Wednesday!

Further, the Summer 1998 issue of Wireless & Mobility discusses MMDS in a colum by Lynda Starr of Broadband Probe Research Inc. on "The fixed wireless option for business connectivity." All of the usual suspects, including CAI and CS Wireless, are mentioned.
