OT Looking down the road a few years:
computerworld.com

main points:
-internet access everywhere not just via pc's.
-msft/gates says lots of languages/os's
-IBM says java everywhere....I AGREE
the reason is simple java offers a universal
language with object based functionality via
pacakages and beans. The only shortfall is in
real time systems but my guess is that sun
will figure out some type of real time version
for java which will include control over garbage
collection and better thread scheduling.
