By George, how time flies! Labor Day is already behind us, the youngsters are back warming the school benches and Luxor..? Well, it seems as though in an ever changing universe, at least some things remain steadily predictable.
The sun rises and sets, geese migrate south for the winter, hurricanes batter the East Coast and Luxor misses another terminus post quem.
In my mind, Luxor brings to real life a great running joke in "The Money Pit" (no investment pun intended. No, really.). In this hilarious late 80's comedy starring Tom Hanks, a yuppie couple buys the house of their dreams in the country only to find that everything needs to be totally redone. All through the ordeal, every time they ask the professionals in charge (contractor, electrician, plumber etc..) how long this or that will take to fix, the answer is always the same:"Two weeks!". One can apply this to almost any question commonly asked Luxor's IR dept. When will you issue a news release? When will you issue an update? How soon will the span tables for X be ready? When will you send it to them? When do you expect approval from the X building code authorities? When will you ship the next load to Snavely? (Add your own or send in your suggestions!)
Will the final chapter of this saga be titled "The Man Who Knew Too Much" or "Dumb and Dumber"? Stay tuned.
Meanwhile, back at headquarters, the accumulation of cheapened stock brought on by growing shareholder frustrations seems to continue. This has the appearance of only the rawest kind of market making. I am stopping short of using the M word, but any one will tell you...control the information and you control the price of a stock. (see earlier posts). My guess is that something IS in the works. How big is it? Judging by the way the stock is trading, I really can't tell. When will it happen? Easy, two weeks!
Drop us a line here from time to time, guys, and let's kick this thread back off. It's exhausting to keep up with all the private messages.
Thanks,
