First off, minimum wage is not a consideration here, although I personally support an increase in the minimum wage in order to help folks who work hard and don't get paid much. So please understand my personal existence has no contingency for minimum wage. Nice of you to worry for me, however.
Get this clear: Nobody on earth is paying me to be here. More to the point: Who is paying Jon Tara to be here? He doesn't own any Zulu, does he?
I paid myself on day one when I made what I deemed as a reasonable decision to invest my money in Zulu. Granted, I never expected what has happened. But I guess, based on what has happened, you all now have a full dose understanding of my determination. Don't you?
Hey, Zulu may do very well. It may not. If it does, I'll have money to give away to others. If it doesn't, well, I reserve my right to pack up my guitar and head into Harvard Square and maybe try to do what Tracy Chapman did--become musically famous! But I've already been famous in a regional way--it's no big deal, really.
So bottom line? Don't worry about me. Stay focused on Zulu! If you like it, it'll be good for you; if you don't like it, it doesn't mean you have to make it bad for others--does it? |
