I wouldn't discount Datek due to the comments of a few posters who are continually bad mouthing Datek. I second gbh's comments. Datek's not perfect, but they have a lot to offer and are always improving. They are far and away superior in order entry, execution and reporting speed than the other three internet brokers I have tried. The comparisons to the direct trading systems ring a little hollow because they are not apple to apple comparisons. If you want to pay twice the commission rate and feel you can offset this by the superior executions these systems claim to offer, then you are not comparing Datek to a true internet discount broker.
