Hi Alok:

Thanks for the news on Van Oppen buying 42000 shares. I hope it is true.

As for LSI, it is my number 1 core holding with a huge number of shares at around $27/shr. So as you can see I am not a very happy camper at this time since the stock has been beaten down to the $11-$13/shr due to world wide semi slump. However in my view we are at the bottom of the current semi down cycle. LSI is perhaps the best positioned semi company to take advantage of the digital age. Here is a link to the latest LSI's CEO interview (published yesterday):

As for IFMX, I dont know what to say. Oracle is really killing them, but on the other hand IFMX seems to be taking market share from Sybase. My ex-IFMX colleagues in the R&D tell me the moral is at its highest and everyone is very up beat on the future of the company (which is just the opposite of when I worked there over a year ago). But I really dont know what the future will be for Informix. I am still a share holder and will continue to be so, as I also am a share holder of SYBS and Oracle as well.

It took me about 12 years to build up my assets to where they were about 3 months ago, and it took only 3 months for them to go down by as much as 50-60% (thanks mainly to LSI, and my small caps such as ADIC, and even larger big caps such as HWP, AMAT, CPQ, XLNX, ....). It has been a very deepressing, frustrating and sad period for me financially and investment wise. However I am most confident things will improve. My only joy for the past 3 months has been the birth of my little girl Leila, which of course no money in the world could have made me any happier.

Anyway, As for SUNW, it used to be my number 1 core holding, but after 4 years of holding I finally sold 90% of my shares earlier this year at around $46 and used the proceeds to buy more of CPQ, LSI, XLNX among others (including a company called Cyberguard - symbol CYBG which I bought at $16/shr about 2 months ago, and todays closing price of CYBG was $1.31/shr!)!! Should have stayed with SUNW, eventhough it has not gone up much (if any at all) from when I sold it over 7 months ago, at least I would have kept and maintained my gains! Oh well... Hopefully ADIC will make it all up for me.

Regards,

Addi Jamshidi
