Lamar, the sender of the e-mail can set his browser differently.
In Netscape Navigator 4.x click EDIT|PREFERENCES|MAIL&GROUPS
then MESSAGES. There is a choice "by default send HTML messages".
The sender should uncheck this box. That is the setting I use,
because many of my recipients can't receive HTML.
