Cathleen, I see Ed recycled a post of his over there, seems pretty quiet otherwise. Ed and friends are going to dump Linux CDs into Boston harbor if things go against Bill, I guess.

Bill go to jail? That's a new one. Has anyone ever gone to jail on antitrust? Untouchable? That was the line on John Gotti, too. If it's broken up (very hypothetical, that one), it's totally possible that the shareholders will make money.

On that hypothetical subject, here's an old piece, quoted for amusement only.

Is it time to bust up Microsoft? news.com

Finally, a media company called Stumble for its MSN online service, MSNBC cable-online news joint venture, consumer-oriented content software, (Encarta, Microsoft Money, and the Microsoft Home line), and future media operations.

Maybe they could hire Reggie to turn that one around. Microsoft knows new media, you know. Me, I preferred Fred Moody, who also suggested a Microsoft BIOS company, last fall. Another technical wizard there.

Cheers, Dan.
