We good folks here in Central Illinois just spent a summer with 5 nuclear power plants "OFF LINE"! Threats of power outages & brown-outs were common. This in a time with no Y2K problem. The power plant in Clinton, Il. has been off line for two years! If the power cos can't keep the nuclear plants on line in "the best of times" there is no hope for them with a Y2K wild card thrown in.
Looks like we will have a nuclear winter in Illinois or should that be a non-nuclear winter?
