I believe that cases like this are abundant even after today's 5% surge. #reply-5665971 << I all years of my investing I have never felt so deepressed, sad and absolutely helpless over watching my assets go down so much so fast. Even in 1987, 90-91 things werent that bad (although at the time I did not have any money to invest anyway so really didnt feel the loss that much). It took me over 12 years to build up my assets to where it was 2 months ago, and it has taken only 2 months for my assets to go down by as much as 50%-60%! It is true, demolision is always easier than construction! From LSI to XLNX, to CPQ to my small caps, to HWP,... It took only 2 months for" most" of them to come down to the levels they were 4-5 years ago. Oh well. Its just money!>>
Folks, it tells volumes! In an attempt to zealously guard one's vanity, most people are not as forthcoming as he is. I believe it is true with most of the bullish strategists, fund managers, and other experts who repeatedly appear on TV and other media. I don't mean to derive any pleasure out of his misery, but I can see why this "bright" mind was wrong. #reply-5533848 As they say in my native tongue, a person destined for ruin will not pay attention to a good friend's advice, will not look at the guiding star, and will not utter the Gayatri mantra (not a literal translation, but it goes something like that..) |
