I hear that Qualcomm and ERICY are escalating their licensing discussion. I also hear that if those discussions do not pan out, ERICY may seriously consider buying Qualcomm. I know that these are old rumors, but they seem to be gaining some currency. Who knows, maybe we will all soon own ERICY stock.

Before all of you start on your rants about how ridiculous it would be for Q to sell to ERICY, consider that ERICY would not be stuck with its same old, second rate technology. Instead, it would have CDMA and would be able to extract from the entire world the "unfair" royalties Q is now receiving.

I believe that such a marriage would actually benefit Q shareholders because we would have Q's technology and ERICY's markets and marketing abilities. The downside, of course, is that there would be a very large write-off for worthless technology.
