Off tpoic also, but for those interested in sage advice:

TIP: Buy Starbucks Corporation
WHY: The New York Times reports that former Senator Bill Bradley is running for president in 2000. So is Al Gore. It's going to take a lot of triple-caffeinated mocha grandes to stay awake through this campaign.
(8/31 - 9/4)

DILBX: Index plummets on signs of Russian catastrophe. Maybe basing management decision-making process on the Kremlin model wasn't such a good idea.

DOGBX: Would-be world dominators cringe at sight of doddering Boris hugging teetering Bill. Index drops faster than the Presidential trousers.

RATBX: Investors dump stock from wily tech companies. The only thing that kept it from being even worse was the heartening news that Federal anti-trust lawyers denounced Bill Gates and other Microsoft executives for displaying "an astonishing lack of recall" in pre-trial testimony.

TPHBX: While about them people were losing their shirts, investors in PHBX stocks remained fully shirted. They know that regardless of what the markets do, PHBs are part of the corporate world's permanent
government.
