Mr. Lore, I recommend a class in biochem, or 1st semester organic chemistry. CHO = carbohydrate, a monosacchiride, or a simple sugar is broken down quite rapidly, a disacchiride would break down in twice the time, a polysacchiride would break down in even a longer time depending upon the length of the carbon chain and/or the stability of a benzene ring(if appropriate) A complex carbohydrate(polysacchaide), would take the longest to break down, the molecular wt. is not of importance per se, what is, is the length of the carbon chain and the strength of the bonds (alkanes weaker than a alkene weaker than a alkyne, etc, etc...and all weaker than a benzene ring.) I hope you brush up on your organic chem, and then give it a shot. It may require you leaving your computer wizardry for a classroom/lab.
