If you do know who it is, sounds like material inside information to me. I think there is a little law against disclosure of material inside information. One other point. Even if the sponsor is a household name, that doesn't necessarily mean its worth "shitting your pants" over. After all, MONY is a household name. But the amount of their sponsorship is not worth "shitting your pants" over.
