I had an interesting chat with a friend today who is very well informed about HDIE and the market in general. He reads SI, mainly for amusement and finds what is going on here particularly amusing. He believes, and I tend to agree that there has been unrealistic expectations created on the thread-like stock going to 8 on the rumored news!. If this rumored deal is true, as I believe it is, it is so much more significant that people on SI understand. Who does understand what this deal means to HDIE? Analysts, brokerage firms, institutions. None of them are the least bit concerned as to what the release says or whether it has numbers in it as they all know that HBOC does not do small deals. This will open all doors for HDIe as it immediately would validate their products. Depending on how signifcant the percentage of HDIE stock owned by SI and other internet "traders" is, here is what he expects which I agree with as well. Depending on the terms of rumored release, stock may run $1 to $1.50 before traders start selling into news and bring stock down. About 2 weeks later, the real fun will start for investors when the real money in the market starts buying HDIE and analysts start crawling out of woodwork. The the other deals will start falling like raindrops from the sky. Traders will look back and regret their haste to sell and HDIE investors will reap the rewards of patience and sticking with this company as they move to the big league from the minor league. Anyone expecting a double on the news might as well sell now (I'll be happy to take some more)and move on to other stocks that they think they can do better on. I would venture to guess that HDIE will be in the top 5% of all stocks on a performance basis over the next 12 months.
