AMD had a strong product in the 29K series of RISC based microcontrollers. AMD was a player in the communications chip business and a very competitive flash supplier. R&D funds had to be diverted to the Processor division to continue the pathological assult on the evil empire. This wasn't good business sense, but as is now clear, good business was never the intention in the first place. As a result AMD has posted loss after loss and no end is in sight. Jerry is pleased because Intel's profit margins have shrunk. What about the AMD shareholders? They are not a concern and never will be as long as Jerry is at the helm. You and I are paying for Jerry's adventures.

What should AMD's business plan be? Isn't it obvious?
