It seems like the military must use a lot of disk drives in the field. How do they run systems in tanks? They have laptops, jet fighters, etc., etc. Is all this done with solid state memory?

Is the use of slower rotation speeds, smaller diameters, and lesser density storage all that is needed to make a robust drive? It would seem that low tech, by comparison, solutions would make very good shock resistant drives.

Mark

Sure looked like we were going to get a good day until those bozo's in Washington started talking about Bill's sex life and whether they should impeach him. This is the most irresponsible action I can imagine. What a bunch of slimy pigs. If I was a big business guy paying these politico's, I would have told them to kill this issue or look for a new job. How can they take an issue like this and destablize a country?
