Steve,

Your a ranting luny<g>...it's great though!!

>>All in all the cost to go piece meal is about twice that of end to end. Plus, end to end is easier to upgrade than piece meal. Usually a company will bring out products all at the same time that support each other. With different vendors I can't be guaranteed that they
will have compatible solutions within a year of each other. That's a big gamble when your business depends on it's network.<<

With a serious network (and all enterprise networks are getting
bigger and bigger), it's crazy not to go with one or two
well known, established name brands. Just maintenance
and future scalability will be a huge problem if not
going with hardware from a reputable company and good planning of future network requirements.

As usual, 3Com needs to keep pushing this through very
agressive marketing. I think this is why CSCO is so successful.
They don't necessarily have the best products, but they
hold the customers hand through the whole network transition
and installation, even considering future transitions. Companies are addicted to CSCO for this. Problem is, this is very expensive and the Fortune 500 companies are the only ones that can afford these solutions.

COMS will take the CSCO approach, make it less expensive, and
give all businesses around the world a chance to have Fortune
500 type networks. It's all these subtles things that
COMS will do that will give it the edge. Eventually, we
will see it in the "bottom line". Analysts will never
be able to pick up this type of customer service until they
see COMS profits improving consistently.

>> I wouldn't touch CS crap with a 20 foot pole.<<

Never realized CS was that bad. What do you think of
ASND products?
