Aleta, just for the record. Sensitive to your accusation--because I'm likely the least prejudicial person you've ever encountered--and the kind of people who come to my parties prove this--I went to AOL's dictionary and typed in the word "cracker." Here's what came out:

"crack*er (noun)

First appeared 15th Century

1 chiefly dialect : a bragging liar : BOASTER

2 : something that makes a cracking or snapping noise: as

a : FIRECRACKER

b : the snapping end of a whiplash : SNAPPER

c : a paper holder for a party favor that pops when the ends are pulled sharply

3 plural : NUTCRACKER

4 : a dry thin crispy baked bread product that may be leavened or unleavened

5 a : a poor usu. Southern white -- usu. used disparagingly

b capitalized : a native or resident of Florida or Georgia -- used as a nickname

6 : the equipment in which cracking (as of petroleum) is carried out"

You'll have to accept--because it's true--I was unaware of definition point number five. Perhaps I should have called you a "snapper," instead. (LOL)
