Glenn and all --

I think I'll go away more often. I turn my back and there's 3 or 4 press releases and a couple points to the upside.

Big smiles!!

The transaction enables Newbridge to maintain its existing
business relationships with ACC including joint research and
development programs, and manufacturing and reseller arrangements
for the entire ACC product line. Additionally, Ericsson will work
with Newbridge in the development and support of Carrier-Scale
Internetworking (CSI), the world's first open, standards-based
architecture for premium Internet Protocol (IP) services.

Ericsson will work with Newbridge and other CSI partners to
develop the standards required for end-to-end Quality of Service
(QoS) and to implement CSI capability into ACC's Integrated Access
Platforms.

Forgive the repetition if it's already been discussed, but isn't adding Ericsson to the CSI partnership status significant? If this is the first mention --- and to my knowledge it is --- it adds yet another strong player to an already strong line-up: NN, Siemens, 3Com.

Ericsson's making some interesting moves. A week or so ago there was news they'd leased a building on London's St. James Square and some speculate they're moving their headquarters.

Who knows, maybe they're diversifying into real estate. :)

Later --

Pat
