Art. I've been in the construction business for all my life. I've seen new ideas come in to the industry usually by small entrepreneurs. Then things happen. Let's take a large fake manufacturing company to show what happens - say Kitty Kat Mnf. They have no knowledge of the subject. They can spend a huge amount of money to try and duplicate the process or -- they can try to find a way to get the knowledge. They can go to smaller companies and say they are interested in the process so that they can authorize their local dealer to use it. Or they can join an organization that might have access to the information. Small companies are puffed up because the big Kitty Kat Co came to them and they spill out some proprietary information. Two years later Kitty Kat Co has developed their own competitive division with the information they received. I've seen this happen more than once.

IDX is at 5 for a few reasons. They have not shown any earnings. My broker (for 30 years), who just died, wrote me in April of '97 that if IDX didn't show earnings it would be killed in a down market.. When small caps are down 50% and the Nasdaq minus a few biggies is also down 50%, we are not in a minor correction. We are in a bear market. Small companies are always smashed in a down market. People want to see if the companies can produce increased earnings in tough times. I believe IDX will.

Also IDX diverted potential earnings into R&D to develop new and more sophisticated products after Oracle's initial feed back. Because of this the biometric market has not started to grow in the geometric growth that Randy felt would happen. We probably lost a year. However, I believe that accelerated growth is close at hand. Ron
