I also have been greatly curious re: digital tv's bearing on AXC's future prospects. I know first digital products for consumers won't be out till mid 98 earliest, but keep wondering how AXC will benefit. Is their DCT digital tv editing product (which sells for $70K according to their latest S3) the only product they've got for the new digital tv explosion? I know they've got lots of patents re: digital tv but have no word or idea how it'll benefit em. someone needs to call IR at AXC or root around their patent portfolio to find out. What $'s we're talking about are at least 1 1/2 years away, and are subject to the broadcast market being willing to upgrade to digital, which I imagine to be a long slow process due to the enormous expense involved (like buying hundreds of DCT's for all the studios!). Sure would like someone's facts who are in the know!!!
