Any comments? Has anyone heard of this company?
Michelle or anyone, how difficult would it be for a competitor to develop a SCM software package that would offer competitive functionality to ITWO or MANU?
It seems possible - if you look at Siebel, by comparison, it seems that competitors have had a very hard time developing a competitive SFA solution, but in the SCM market there seem to be many more players. And while PSFT has decided to forge alliances in the front office automation sector, effectively indicating that they don't intend to offer their own solution, they have, on the other hand, been acquiring SCM solutions and seem to intend to compete in the marketplace with their own solution. SAP, Baan, and Oracle are also attempting to enter this market as well, right? I know SAP and ORCL are also trying to enter the front-office segment, but I believe SEBl has indicated that they are years behind.
Could this explain in part why SCM stocks have acted like death lately? |
