A federal judge on Thursday ordered Symantec to recall its Norton Uninstall Deluxe software product from the market because it likely infringes on CyberMedia's.

The Northern District Court in San Jose, California, granted CyberMedia's request for a preliminary injunction against Symantec while it pursues its copyright infringement lawsuit. CyberMedia (CYBR) is alleging that rival Symantec stole code from the CyberMedia UnInstaller product and put it in Norton Uninstall, a program that removes unwanted software from a PC.

This may help CleanSweep sales, can't hurt.
