Michelle, >>> it looks like most of the women feel that the lurid details of this should not be made public <<<

This is not about sex per se. It is about a President looking into the camera and wagging his finger at the American people and lying. It is about a candidate, Bill Clinton, looking into the camera on CBS newsprogram (60 Minutes) and lied about Jennifer Flowers. If he did not lie, he would not have been elected President.

This is about a man telling us that Kathleen Willey made up the story that on the day her husband was to commit suicide and when she begged the President for a salaried position in the White House - he physically assaulted her (my definition of assault).

It is highly unlikely that an unpaid volunteer in the White could make up a story like this - first there is no motive - as she did not come forward with this allegation until forced to.

This is also about a man - when he was a governor - is accused by a lowly paid state employee - of being asked to a hotel room where he exposed himself and asked for oral sex.

Does it matter what you may think of Paula Jones? That she may not be as educated as you are and that she may have been motivated to come forward and be financially rewarded?

Or, do you think that she just made up this story?

There are other accounts of cases where he forcibly came on to women - and there are also stories that he used State Troopers to procure women for him. Of course, some of these accounts may not be provable (no eye witnesses, no photographs, and no forensic evidence).

But, if these stories are true - do you still think that such a person can stay in office as President of the United States?

Put politics aside and think this through. Are we a nation of laws - or are we some banana republic and need the guidance of a Strong Masculine Presence to govern us? Do women really need such a person to govern them?

Sincerely,

Mary Cluney
