Scrapps, Switching data through the phone network has been a traditional concern for the telcos. I ran up against this 10 years ago when working with AT&T on early data interfaces for their PBXs. Switches are designed for a statistical amount of traffic based on short average holding times and predictable peak times for voice calls. The increased use of the public network for data is definitely creating problems, though perhaps not to the extent stated by the telcos. Skipper
