Monterey Pasta Enters Costco's Midwest Division

SALINAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 8, 1998--Monterey Pasta Company (NASDAQ:PSTA - news), announced it has begun shipping products, including just released ''Restaurant Style Raviolis'' and Gourmet Refrigerated Meat Sauces to Costco's Midwest Division.

''We have been a long term supplier to Costco in many of their divisions,'' said Lance Hewitt, President and Chief Executive Officer of Monterey Pasta company. ''The importance of this announcement is the significance of being invited into Costco's growing territory,'' said Hewitt.

Monterey Pasta also supplies Costco stores in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states, in California, the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, Montana, Idaho, and in Canada.

Monterey Pasta manufactures U.S.D.A.-inspected, healthy, fresh gourmet refrigerated fresh pasta and sauces at an integrated 43,680-sq.-foot corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility in Salinas.
