When a Celeron A goes out the door, $149 or $199 comes IN THE DOOR. That makes Intel executives feel just fine - since the costs are more than $100 below the selling price.

Those large margins make Intel an attractive target for competitors. It is just a matter of time until Cyrix or AMD gets it right.
