Dear Sam...............
When you started this thread a little over two years ago, you certainly had no idea the roller coaster ride that investing in this public company would be. Who could have foreseen the missed deadlines, the blown business opportunities and the seemingly criminal actions of the officers and board of this company? Who would have believed that the court system would allow the officers and board of the company to piss away the assets of IMES and leave the shareholders holding the bag? Who would have believed that some of the employees would apparently participate in the theft of these same assets?
Who would have believed that Mssrs. Albert, LaChappelle, Smith, Hartmann, Tsuchiya (sp?), Neches, Hoevel and the rest of the marauders would actively participate in taking away our investment dollars?
Who would have believed the tenacity of a small group of shareholders who fought against incredible odds to try to reclaim their investment? Who would have believed that the officers and board would refuse to help the shareholders in this struggle? Imagine that Sam, the shareholders having to defend themselves against the malevolent actions of the very persons elected to run the company.
Who wouldn't have believed Mr. Albert when he proclaimed to the last shareholders meeting that investment in the company would be available without question. Who would have believed that the board members would have let a used-car salesman threaten, bamboozle and extort the company away from the shareholders? Who would have believed that board members would behave spinelessly when it came to protecting even their own shares which numbered in the hundreds of thousands and even millions?
Officers and Board...... shame on you. I am glad that I don't have to live this life and the next with the weight of your actions on my conscience. May you reap the rewards that you have sown for the rest of us. To all shareholders who refused to participate in the effort to save IMES, you got what you deserved. To all who waged war against the machine and continue to do so, you have my undying respect and admiration.
Last but not least, to Val Scott and Tom Childs, you are truly symbolic of what is right about America. You have embodied everything that our forefathers envisioned when they set foot in this country; honesty, tenacity and courage. You have taught me some valuable lessons that I will never forget. Thank you both from the bottom of my heart.
Sam, we barely knew ye.
Long live IMES!
