fred,
been just fine thanks. i don't spend too much time in front of the computer in the summer. it's too nice outside to stay indoors. sept rolls around and...

"HK throw darts"

dooohhhhhh!! why didn't i think of that?!?

but really, they can't keep throwing 10-20 billion dollars into the abyss every month to prop up the market. hong kong's wealth has been built up on the scarcity of land pushing up real estate values higher and higher. with the handover land is no longer "limited" . the stock and real estate market both have got a good 50% more that they will have to drop. it's just matter of how fast it will come.

china by itself can endure with its fixed currency because of its more closely controlled society but if, or rather, when hong kong continues on its next leg down it will be extremely difficult for china to stand steadfast.

the us dollar has been the "safe harbor" and the fed has given guidance that they are leaning to decreasing interest rates so that leaves more down side than up for the us stock market. the large volatilty is what will rock the market sharply downwards as "winners" take their stakes very quickly off the table. --it's like rocking the car out when its stuck in snow.--

a lot depends on how much the mutuals are in cash. if the redemptions
don't cause sell-offs to cover then things'll be ok.

ah enough of the bummer stuff.

driving bowties now?? what next one of the dreaded 'stangs <g>
we gonna see you on the cover of any mags?

ps know any cool hotrod sites or stuff?
