Well, today I saw an iMac IRL and I'm dissapointed. The mouse is entirely too small. From where I was standing all I could see inside the translucid plastic was a metal frame (no LEDs or neat looking circuitry).

Just the kind of post I'd expect from our resident AAPL bear. You're the only one I know or have read about who's seen an iMac in person that wasn't impressed by its looks. Yes, the mouse is small, and this has already been noted ad nauseum here and elsewhere.

LEDs or neat looking circuitry? What the hell? Please tell us all why there should be any LEDs inside a computer chassis! Have you ever actually opened a computer and looked inside before, Alomex? Didn't think so. Well I'll tell ya, the only LEDs you're likely to find is the one on some hard drives for connecting the drive access light. Hate to disappoint you, but computers have come a long way since 1960's sci-fi television, and rows of useless LEDs to represent computer power simply aren't needed these days. But you're right, it would've been so cool to have a computer with its own internal light show to amaze us all. Especially for those living alone in small apartments that don't feel the need to get a Christmas tree. Just use the iMac!

Lastly the price is awful. For $500 Cdn less a friend bought a compaq with a colour printer included....

Now things are becoming clear...
