US Federal Gov't released report today stating code remediation only way to resolve problems with time remaining.Military also disclosed they are further behind than thought, also found 12% more systems deemed to be mission critical and expect more. US Gov't now talking no further replacement systems, software upgrades etc. till remaining systems compliant. This leaves migration /remediation of existing code only way to compliance. This coupled with consultants being sued for replacement systems not meeting expectations, consultants losing insurance coverage(also recent development). All these developments plus big changes in tax write offs could mean huge potential for the factory solutions. The big question will be who gets serviced first private or public sector, and how does FRX get its share.US Gov.t also stated cost of remediation now $1.50 to $8.00 per line excluding testing.TO date Dell has been the big Y2K winner, this may soon change.
