Sam, I make money in up markets, I make money in down markets.. so I'm not concerned very much with when this cycle will bottom. If I had to guess I'd say buy on the news one way or the other. But who knows what other events will be rocking the world, perhaps a nuke slips in Pakistan or Japanese banks declare insolvency... any number of other events could eclipse our hypocritical posturing about morality in Washington.

A small percentage of Americans are truly upset, but from the polls, from questionaires on honesty in such matters, this reminds me of Charles DeGaule who fired a French minister for having an affair.

"This is outrageous, this is France..." said the minister, "How can you fire me for doing this?" he puffed.

DeGaule answered, "I'm not firing you for doing this," he replied angrily.. "I'm firing you because you got caught."
