Lamar, you said e-mail doesn't work, i.e. you cannot send e-mail because a file is missing. You use MS Internet Explorer for a
browser? It has the e-mail program in it. (I'm guessing - that's how
it is with the competing browser, Netscape Navigator). So, a part
of your IE got clobbered. Maybe the simplest fix is to reinstall
IE. If you do, your e-mail should work.

Have you tried sending e-mail to yourself? Maybe it's just your
address book that got erased?
