Len,

Thanks, Buddy, for all the good info. I'm printing it and sorting out all the info I got since my post. Honestly, it is absolutely incredible how good this thread is for getting info. That's why I come here, other than to bother you, of course (kidding).

You and the others have given me more useful and accurate info than I have obtained in two days from Dell, Diamond, and the various local computer "gurus" in New Orleans, none of whom apparently have ever read a book on Windows 98.

Last night, the tech at Diamond got me to download the Win98 driver file called "VPRO128P.EXE" from their website, which I did and installed. I think I just need to install the new drivers for my older STB Velocity board (I only bought it three months ago - gee).

Here's the site where I got the Diamond driver: diamondmm.com They told me this would be for MM applications. Do you think they lied to me on that point? Or, is this a new driver?

I most likely will try to get another STB board like TraderAlan.

Thanks, again, for the great help! I owe you one.

Bill
