I was informed of this earlier. as far as I know the ability to short exists in all countries, inclusive of the US, that have brokerages, as long as you have the required ratio of cash on hand within the account for the specific brokerage rules. Still can't figure out why some good folks like Gene defend these folks. I'll be the first to say that their efforts provoke the less than dilligent investor? to go further to do the necessary DD to justify their position certain stocks. I'll also be the first to say that that ain't all bad. However, with that said... why???? Until that question can be answered, I wouldn't trust them anymore than I would trust a hypesters instincts.
