Small campuses and metropolitan networks are exactly the ones whom I suspect are seriously considering purchasing the Gigamux. If a CLEC or RBOC were choosing Osicom as a vendor, that would be fantastic news. However, I don't see a lot of hope for Osicom to be chosen for contracts worth millions of $. They appear to be much weaker financially now than they were last year -- and that detracts from their products substantially.

I do chose vendors for products. A financially weak corporation is never chosen by me as a supplier because we cannot afford to do business with anyone who will not be around to support their own products and roll out new ones -- even if their product is much more cost effective than their competitor's.

Osicom needs someone with deeper pockets to purchase them. Hopefully it will be an RBOC or Telecomm equipment manufacturer that loves the gigamux.
