Before the iMacs shipped, I had a conversation with the CompUSA manager here. He remarked that Apple was pressing him to take more than he thought he could sell at the time. He has a PC centric store with little Mac space. I reassured him that he would have no trouble selling them. Indeed, the first shipment blew through the store like green apples with exlax.

My point is, that some of the store managers may have felt pressured to take on more iMac stock than they felt was prudent going into the promotion. The question is, are they still being pressured, and if so is their iMac sales still beating their own expectations?
