The author of this release reveals his ignorance & perhaps bias by beginning his prognostication with language the "once proud database software company Oracle (ORCL) has fallen on hard times recently," & then concluding that its "overall earnings momentum has hit the wall."

IMHO, this guy doesn't have a clue as to the de minimus significance of ORCL 1Q earnings regarding earnings growth going forward. It is common knowledge that ORCL's weakest Q is Q1. That is why earnings expectations for the Q do not project any measurable increase in earnings momentum. What a moron!

The foregoing is why, regardless of the name (in this case briefing.com) one cannot place any value on any article or commentary emanating from a website. One must read critically. And if one with modest knowledge of the software business & how sales are booked to income, & a little knowledge of ORCL's reporting practices reads this release, one will quickly come to the conclusion that the guy who wrote it has no idea what he's talking about.
