Herb: OT: quote.com. it does not slow down my Macs, but I have fast Macs with much memory allocated to my browsers. I keep it because it mostly works, and on my Macs and it's uncomplicated. Their Customer Service is awful but at least not rude and discourteous. Incompetent, ignorant and useless. (I've seen worse, such as at Web Street Securities. Read the Web Street Securities thread for that story.) What do I not like about quote.com: their quotes are not a point; they are often many seconds to a minute LATE!; their options quotes only show one exchange, rather than all the relevant exchanges; they have NO real time BB quotes; you have to pay extra for real time intraday charting and as far as I can see from the delayed intraday it will slow down my computer a lot; no tick by tick with volume (I really want this feature). I quote.com because I know it and it works. I would like a much better service, with real real time, and intraday that doesn't slow down my computer to a crawl, and tick by tick info that shows volume. This is important to me to find, and I'm hoping to find it for a Mac, so I won't have to run under Virtual PC, which I am afraid to do, since I don't use a PC very well, and I don't want to compound problems here.
