Hi Ray
would you think the pension funds in Japan are providing the most bullish case for gold?

I have been reading the posts on the derivatives thread..
I don't know enough about the US pension funds..when we had the savings and loan bailouts were our pension funds in such a mess also?
I find it sadly humorous that the japanese have been providing liquidity for the world for so long now and possibly big players don't care what the financial health of Japan is as long as it provides them with the pretense of value to put the funds elsewhere
Beepers and cellphones abound..mention those since I view them as further vaporization of money..since all the money spent on instant communication doesn't necessarily build anything lasting
Also , any comments on Meridian?
Japan seems to be building a great case for gold.
Also,if you care to comment on why the gold standard didn't work pre
1929 or was it as simple as margin rates and protectism..
take care

ps. read that Rubin wants a stronger yen..article was supposedly in Fortune.. that sounds counterintuitive..haven't read the article though..do you care to comment?
