Sea, This is unfortunately true about the sales people. Many good people have left. Some of the new sales people lack the experience and talent that some of the former sales reps had. This problem does need to get addressed. Sales and marketing has always seemed a weak area for Informix. It can ill afford for the quality of the sales staff to lessen. On the bright side, though, the quality of their products and releases have not deteriorated -- so if they can solve this sales and marketing problem and regain confidence with organizations like Gartner and Meta Group and the major accounting firms (which participate in a lot of the database implementation projects) then the future should look rosy. If they cannot -- I really don't care to consider that possibility. - RDH.
