My Dear Sir:

God help The University of Iowa -- where you claim to serve as a
Professor of Physics -- if your standard for processing information is an
example of the academic standards of the University. To wit:

a. How anyone could visit wbn.com and not come away fully advised as
to what our relationship is to Member Affiliate licensees including
precisely what we charge for a license indicates an absence of
academic discipline which I cannot imagine U of I would find
acceptable.

b. We do not "threaten" short sellers. I happen to believe that honest
short sellers play an important and constructive role in the market
system. What we do is offer a standing $5,000 reward for information
leading to the identity of anonymous posters purveying misleading,
fraudulent or twisted information relating to wbn.com licensees.

c. In respect to your friend Pluvia re Premier Laser Systems, he was
posting misleading, false and twisted information fraudulently. The main
falsity was in challenging the company's patents without cause as has
been recently confirmed. The fraud was in presenting himself as posting
for investment purposes when in fact he was a distributor of a
competitive tooth whitening laser. Pluvia was not posting to Silicon
Investor for purposes of providing investment information or analysis.
He was posting for a nefarious business purpose. To have not disclosed
his true purpose was fraud in my book.

d. Wbn.com was successful in determing his identity, determining his
relationship to the competitor company, and in seeing our efforts lead to
a "Cease and Desist" letter being issued to him by Premier.

John Westergaard
