David, Thanks for your prayers. I have contact with LaVonne less than once a month. But as I posted earlier last time I was down to visit (3 hrs away from where I reside), she spent time with us (my wife, my son and I). She was very cordial and didn't have any displays of temper. I can't attribute this to anyone other than God as I spent some time in prayer before we left to go there. I was personally encouraged at her attitude. Some people are afraid to let anyone get too familiar -- keep a large amount of "personal space;" too large. I've been guilty myself. I expect the influence of my Dad to be the most important right now. I'm praying for her, but especially that he may show her unearthly kindness which will draw her to Christ. Now, more than ever I need "a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him." This epistle is soo encouraging. So much about what Jesus has done for us. Focus is almost everything. What did Jesus say? "Apart from me you can do nothing." I appreciate you. I'm going to see if I can't find something on or by Spurgeon at the library next time I go. Barry
