CPQ tends to standardize around these kinds of key components across all products. The collaboration between CPQ and TI in the early 90's which resulted in the 10/100 TLAN chip is an example - CPQ quickly moved the chip into virtually every LAN product. I would expect to see no chip other than the Intel/CPQ design used in any significant volume, as soon as normal product cycles push the Intel/CPQ chip into the stream. Keep in mind that CPQ also has a significant network products business outside of its own use of the chips for CPQ machines.
