Thanks for the link Peter. The BoJ probably does know more than the rest of us about how bad the situation is. Part of that is a comment of how scant Japanese reporting requirements are. But it begs the question that many have about Japanese efforts to address the banking situation. If the problem is so severe that they are essentially giving money aware why (and here is where my anger rises) are they restricting their remedies to fiddling with monetary policy and when are they going to do something on the structural side. Their paralytic inaction would be hilarious if the consequences weren't so dire.
