Sun, I must say that I do agree with you in that TDFX has done some strange things (hiding Banshee) and perhaps used poor judgement on others. But do we really know that OEMs weren't kept abreast as to Banshee's progress? Sure, we weren't, but what about NDA's and the people who sign them? Tech guys from OEM's? Hiding your product from your competitors. Pretty good idea. But that means that you must also hide from your public. Not such a good idea. Still, if they were hiding from everybody, they wouldn't have needed all of those damned NDA's. So who's to say that TDFX hasn't been showing the IMPORTANT people the specs all along (not saying that we stockholders arn't important).

As for bashing nVidia, I don't know. I don't think you can do that responsibly until final silicon from both co's are out.

Still, I agree that they sure talk a lot about marketing and branding, but don't seem to do a whole lot about it...
