Thanks a lot for the thoughtful reply. I linked it to the Value thread, will be interesting to see if there's any response. I highly recommend you look at the cefs as a better way to get more bang for your buck in this area. A buck is about all I'll have in the emerging markets area pretty soon <g>. I had no clue about CEFs when I started in the Montgomery Fund. Do the ones you mentioned typically trade at a premium in good or normal times? Zach
