re:Starr report, I doubt any impending resignation. I see the first phase being very explosive as leakers will be happy to fill in any X rated details. The important thing here however will be how much Starr may have overreached in his interpretation and presentation of the facts. I believe he is likely to have overreached and give a Linda Tripp inspired version with Monica having filled in all the lurid details and Starr claiming that every detail was crucial since Clinton denied perjury before the grand jury in his deposition for Paula Jones. The second part is the more crucial one in determining the future. It will be when Clinton's lawyer responds to charges and the possibility that Monica through her lawyers may criticize certain parts especially since she may be angry that all of her sexual details were released in this way. If Clinton has survived to that point which I suspect he will have then the next thing may be if Tripp and Monica etc. are called to testify and for the first time are cross examined. The only likelihood of wholesale abandonment of the Democrats is there is overwhelming evidence of multiple pervasive and unquestionable serious obstruction etc. This must be far beyond Starr's notion that claiming privileges to hide the truth is obstruction which won't fly in this case. After this we may be back to the polls and the two numbers to watch are1)job approval and2)do you think the president should resign or be impeached. This may all keep the market under a cloud for awhile and again I don't see quick resignation and a rapid end in this way
