Wholesale abandonment will also occur if Democrats, in the face of deteriorating poll numbers, view that their political survival is in question in supporting the President before the midterms.

If your scenario plays out and we are in impeachment hearings, I see nothing good for the markets short term or for this country for that matter. Impeachment hearings will do nothing for investor sentiment both here and abroad and will do nothing for our leadership role in the world.
